FAFSA4caster
FAFSA4caster provides students with an early estimate of their eligiblity for federal student aid. A student of any age can use FAFSA4caster at any time to get an idea of what aid he or she might receive and how far that aid would go toward covering the cost of attendance at the school(s) in which the student is interested. The student is then encouraged to save for college and to look for additional aid such as scholarships.

Note that FAFSA4caster has been revised as follows:
FAFSA4caster has been simplified. It will no longer serve as a “mini-FAFSA,” asking users for personal information such as name or Social Security number. Similarly, it will not prepopulate fields in FAFSA on the Web for users. Instead, FAFSA4caster will serve only to estimate the user’s eligibility for federal aid and to provide a cost comparison calculator for schools in which the user is interested.
